Handbuilt vessel that can be used as a candle holder, a place for small treasures or jewelry, etc.

This piece was glazed naturally by fire and ash in an Anagama kiln. After 144 continuous hour of firing, the kiln was shut down and sealed up to starve any oxygen out of the kiln. This process is called “reduction cooling” and leaves a more crystalized effect and muted earth tones in the glaze (see photos). This reduction cooling process happens only once a year at East Creek.
