I often sketch out my ceramic ideas, but this piece was created out of pure imaginative play while I was sitting on my porch on the first warm day of spring of 2024. It was fired in a wood/soda kiln and glazed by fire, ash and soda.

What does the shape remind you of? To me, it looks like uncovered tree roots, similar to the ones I see while walking through the forest to Short Sands beach on the Oregon coast.

Fits a variety of taper candle sizes. To secure candle, melt the end and adhere into the holder.

Measurements: 4" tall x 4" wide
